Performance of Special Branch

The Special Branch is ears and eyes of the Sindh Police and provides advance information on law & order to those concerned, said a statement issued by the Central Police Office on Sunday.

It said the Special Branch had generated more than 3,500 intelligence reports in the year 2018 for the Karachi Police alone, on which the Karachi Police had worked vigorously and tried to bring the law and order and crime situation under control.

In the recent past, the Special Branch had augmented its performance with the addition of modern equipment, including robots, to the Bomb Disposal Unit. “The strength of the canine unit has also been increased by an addition of thirty highly trained dogs from the Army Dog Centre. Automation functions of the Special Branch have also contributing in the performance improvements.”
