Actress killed

MARDAN: A local CD drama actress was killed in the limits of Chura Police Station here on Friday, police sources said.

Also, the police claimed to have arrested two suspects in the case.

Sabrina, a resident of Par Hoti and currently living in Qazi Town Peshawar, told police that her sister Lubna alias Gulalai was unhappy with her husband Mohammad Imran and left house and started living with her in a rented house in Peshawar.

She said her sister went to her mother’s house in Mardan and later her sister’s cellphone was found switched off.

She told police that on February 21, her sister’s body was recovered from fields at Chamdairy village in the limits of Chura Police Station.

She also nominated a few people in the case. Meanwhile, District Police Officer Mohammad Sajjad Khan told the media that police had arrested two accused, Shah Hussain and Fazle Malik, and also recovered the car used in the crime.
