Huzaifa makes it to World Jr Tennis semis
ISLAMABAD: Pakistan main hope Huzaifa Abdul Rehman checked into the semifinals of Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships under way at S.Dilawar Abbas PTF Tennis Complex, Islamabad.
Besides Huzaifa, Berk Ulas ENC (TUR), Bader Alabdullah (KUW), and Essa Qabazard (KUW) also advanced into the semi finals. Upcoming top seed Huzaifa Abdul Rehman (PAK) continued his supremacy and eliminated Taentawan Taddeo Majoli Maggioli (THA) in straight sets 6-2, 6-3.
Huzaifa started his match with combination of powerful forehand down the line and cross court winners. He did not allow his opponent to settle down in the match.
Huzaifa showed consistency and pace of control throughout the match. Shoaib Khan (PAK) could not survive as he was beaten by Turkish opponent in three-set match.
Results: Berk Ulas ENC (TUR) beat Shaoib Khan (PAK) 6-4, 1-6, 6-3 to earn a place in the semis.
In the girls singles quarter final 7th Seed Anjalika Kurera of Sri Lanka struggled hard to win her match against talented consistent player Soo Ha Jang of Korea.In boys single semis, Huzaifa Abdul Rehman (PAK) will face Berk Ulas Enc (TUR) in the first semi final whereas Bader Alabdullah (KUW) will take on Essa Qabazard (Kuwait) in second semi final.
