Ex-cop killed in DI Khan
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: Unidentified motorcyclists gunned down an ex-policeman here on Thursday, sources said.
The incident took place in the jurisdiction of Cantonment Police Station near Dinpur, a dense locality of the city.
The sources said the gunmen riding motor-bike sprayed Muhammad Arshad with bullets, leaving him critically injured.
They added that Muhammad Arshad sustained fatal head wounds and succumbed to his injuries on way to the hospital where his body was handed over to the family members after the autopsy.
The assailants, according to sources, left the scene immediately after committing the crime with no arrest till the filling of this report.
Muhammad Arshad was ex-employee of District Special Branch and had recently got retirement from the service. The police started an investigation after registering the case.
