Quetta Gladiators maintain winning spree, beat Multan by 8 wickets
LAHORE: Quetta Gladiators floating on the batting blitz of Rilee Rossouw and Shane Watson maintained its winning spree in the fourth edition of the Pakistan Super League Wednesday. Playing in the second leg at the Sharjah Stadium, Gladiators won their third match on the trot beating Multan Sultans by eight wickets with nine balls to spare. They turned out to be the most consistent team of all the four seasons. Quetta Gladiators completed the fighting total of 160 gathered by Sultans in a simple chase. Watson’s half-century was up front to set things up for them while Rossouw in the middle finished it off. Both men started their innings slowly, got in, and then cut loose. Multan Sultans bowling plans were clearly hampered by Ali Shafiq pulling up short and leaving the field with what appeared to be a hamstring injury, and despite a wicket, Gladiators were rarely under too much pressure.
