ITF JUNIOR RANKING TENNIS: Huzaifa, Shoaib off to winning starts
ISLAMABAD: Two leading Pakistan juniors Huzaifa Abdul Rehman and Shoaib Khan got off to winning starts at the expense of foreign players as the Syed Tajammul Abbas ITF Pakistan World Junior Ranking Tennis Championships finally sprung into action here at the PTF Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
Huzaifa, who is also seeded No 1 in the competition, proved too powerful for French boy Lucas Schurdevin during his 6-0, 6-3 rout while Shoaib Khan was also seen in attacking form beating Talal Albdullah of Kuwait 6-4, 6-3.
All the remaining seeded players except third Seed Saqib Hayat moved to next round by beating their respective opponents in the first round.
Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) President Salim Saifullah Khan visited the venue and witnessed matches.
