RAWALPINDI: Khyber Pakh-tunkhwa A edged out Punjab C 1-0 in an exciting match as the National Inter-Provincial Under-19 Hockey Tournament got under way at the Shahnaz Sheikh Hockey Ground here Sunday.
Roman scored an all important goal in the second quarter to give KP team much needed edge while Punjab’s efforts to pull the equaliser went in vain.
In another match, Punjab D and KP B played 2-2 draw. Punjab B went on goal-scoring spree against Gilgit-Baltistan beating the team 16-0. Sindh A got the better of Fata 5-0 in the fourth match played at the same venue.
