Two dead, three hurt in accident
BUREWALA: Two people were killed while three others sustained injuries in an accident near Tufailabad on Saturday night.
Muhammad Umar of Lahore, Raja Usman of Islamabad, Saifullah of Gujranwala, Muhammad Musib of Rawalpindi and Ahmad Khan of Gujranwala were on their way to Lahore after attending a marriage function at Vehari by a car when their vehicle collided with a truck on Lahore Road.
As a result, Umar and Raja Usman died on the spot while three other car riders sustained injuries and rushed to a hospital. Gaggo Mandi police have started investigation.
Girl axed to death over marriage issue: An 18-year-old girl was axed to death over a marriage issue at Mauza Fazal Wah on Saturday night.
Accused Muhammad Safdar wanted to marry his niece Kalsoom Bibi, daughter of Muhammad Hanif, with his friend but the girl refused the proposal.
On the day of the incident, the accused allegedly axed Kalsoom Bibi to death and fled. Police have registered a case against the accused.
