RAWALPINDI: The government may announce Friday as the weekly off instead of Sunday. According to sources, the government may take this decision to further strengthen business relations with the Arab countries, especially with Saudi Arab and the UAE.
It is to be noted here that Sunday is observed as the weekly off in Pakistan and Friday as weekly holiday in Arab countries due to which the business sectors of both countries get chance to work on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, which extremely decreases business activities among these countries.
On the other hand, business and trade agreements of billions of dollars are to be signed between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and in view of this the Government of Pakistan may announce Friday as the weekly off.
