Ladies National Tennis title goes to Sarah Mahboob
ISLAMABAD: Sarah Mahboob turned out to be an easy winner in the SN Ladies National Tennis beating Sara Mansoor in the final at the PTF Tennis Complex Saturday. Against all expectations final was a one-sided affair as Sarah beat her namesake 6-3, 6-2 to win the title. Sarah Mahboob was seen in good form and won title match in straight sets. Earlier, she defeated Zoha Asim in a hard fought semis. Sara Mansoor qualified for final after beating Shimza Naz. Earlier, Sarah Mahboob Khan pairing with Sara Mansoor clinched ladies doubles title after beating Esha Jawad and Mahvish Chishtie. Shimza Naz of Lahore won Girls Under-18 title after beating Zoha Asim in a match which lasted for more than 2 hours and concluded latter’s retirement due to injury. Eight years old Haniya Mihnas completed double crown as she won girls under-14 title by beating Amna Ali. Earlier on Friday evening. She had also clinched Girls U-10 title as well. Senator Salim Saifullah Khan, President Pakistan Tennis Federation, distributed medals and certificates among players. Subh-e-Nau Chairperson Shahida Kauar Farooq, former member National Assembly Humayun Saifullah Khan were also present on this occasion.
