5 drug smugglers held in Mardan

MARDAN: The Mardan police and Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in a joint raid on Friday arrested five members of a gang who smuggled drugs abroad.
District Police Officer (DPO) Mohammad Sajjad Khan told reporters that acting on a tip-off, the police and ANF officials in a joint raid arrested five member of the gang. The arrested accused were identified as Sajjad, Qaiser, Samiullah, Kamran and Bashir. The DPO added the accused were members of a gang that smuggle drugs Saudi Arabia and other countries. He said the police recovered Rs1.3 million in cash, drugs, cellphones and other items during the raid.
