The distribution of official residences to civil servants in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is extremely poor. Houses are occupied by retired officers who are unwilling to vacate them despite getting repeated notices. Some ministers are occupying even two or more houses.
Moreover, houses meant for senior officers are allotted to teachers, nurses or other close associates of those who matter with the result that eligible, honest and deserving (grade 20 and above) officers have been waiting for their turns for ages to have better accommodation. We gave our precious vote for change but it seems that conditions are only getting worse.
