Gang busted, mobile phones recovered in Peshawar

PESHAWAR: A five-member gang of mobile phone snatchers was busted by the police on Thursday.
A statement said that 26 snatched cellular phones, arms and motorcycles were recovered from the accused, including Farhanullah, a resident of Gulbahar area in the city, Muhammad Jalal of Bashirabad locality, Rasool Jan of Charsadda Road and Naveed, a resident of Kaka Sahib in Nowshera district. After receiving complaints, a special squad was formed by Capital City Police Officer Qazi Jamil.
The mobile phones were being smuggled to Afghanistan. It said that the gang of phone snatchers was arrested during a drive against the street crimes in the city, in which the police in civvies were deployed in various points of the city.
