Hesco seizes illegal transformers

NAWABSHAH: A team of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) conducted an operation against electricity bill defaulters and power thieves in Lakhat area near the left bank of Indus. The team led by Superintendent Engineer Hesco Malik Imtiaz conducted a raid near Pir Noor Shah Feeder where it found three hidden transformers.
Imtiaz said these transformers were being used to run 12 tube wells to irrigate hundreds of acres of agriculture land, running wheat grinders and illuminating hundreds of houses. He said an application was submitted with Qazi Ahmed Police for registration of FIR against the growers operating illegal transformers.
