PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court on Monday dismissed an appeal against the acquittal of former MNA Sardar Mohammad Mushtaq, former Workers Welfare Board secretary Tariq Awan and 13 others of corruption. A single bench of Justice Ikramullah Khan dismissed the appeal filed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ehtesab Commission against the acquittal of the former MNA and others on corruption charges.
Due to abandoning of the KP Ehtesab Commission by the KP government, the case was argued by prosecutor of the Anti-Corruption Establishment Department as all the cases and references had been transferred to ACE.
