Demo against RHC in-charge

BAHAWALPUR: Staffers of the Channi Goth Rural Health Centre led by Lady Health Visitor (LHV) Shahnaz Sarwar staged a demonstration against RHC in-charge Dr Javed on Wednesday.
They blocked traffic on Channi Goth-Liaqatpur Road and demanded immediate transfer of Dr Javed. On information, police rushed to the spot and managed to restore traffic on the road.
When contacted, Dr Javed said that he asked LHV Shahnaz Sarwar to discharge her duty but she allegedly attacked him. DHO Dr Asghar Saeed told The News that the Ahmadpur East deputy district health officer was conducting an inquiry.
