KP IGP makes surprise visit to Charsadda

PESHAWAR: Inspector General of Police Nasir Khan Durrani paid a surprise visit to the Charsadda district on Monday.
According to a Police Department statement, the IGP was accompanied by Mardan Regional Police Officer Saeed Wazir. The police chief inspected police station in Charsadda during the visit. He reviewed the working, preparedness and security arrangements of the police station.
The IGP received a briefing from the police station staff about the Tenant Information Form (TIF), crime situation and proclaimed offenders arrested by police. Nasir Khan Durrani also met the members of Dispute Resolution Council (DRC) present at the police station to hear a dispute amongst the local citizen.
Later, the IGP visited Charsadda Bazaar and mingled with the general public. They appreciated the efforts being put in by the local police for maintenance of peace in the district. The IGP then visited Sardaryab police post which serves as a gateway between Charsadda and Peshawar.
Talking to the jawans, the IGP reminded them that the general public had great expectations from them. He directed them not to succumb to any temptation and win the hearts and minds of the general public by performing duty with due professional zeal and spirit.
