MULTAN: All Pakistan Anjuman-e-Tajran president Khawaja Muhammad Shafiq has said that the traders have rejected early closure of shops.
Talking to newsmen here on Friday, he said that the early closure of shops would affect their business. He rejected taxes imposed on the traders and demanded the government revise them. He said that 5pc to 7pc increase on commercial bills was not acceptable to them. Criticising the Shops and Security Act, he said that it was unjustified. He said that the unscheduled loadshedding during peak business hours and raise in power tariff was creating problems for the traders. He said that a traders’ meeting would be held in Lahore on June 12 to devise a strategy against the government’s anti-traders policies. He said that the traders’ bodies representatives from across the country gathered in Multan and discussed the government policies.
