In the quarter-finals on Thursday, Saqib was defeated by top seed Tsz Fung Yip 11-2, 11-4, 11-0 in just 22 minutes.
In the first qualifying round held on Tuesday, Mohammad Shoaib Hassan beat Aqif Ampandi of Malaysia 11-7, 11-0, 6-11, 11-13, 11-9 in 62 minutes and Mohammad Farhan defeated Ashish Keskar of India 11-7, 11-2, 11-4 in 30 minutes, but Abdul Basit Samad was beaten by Gurshan Singh of Malaysia 9-11, 11-5, 4-11, 1-11 in 35 minutes.
The same day in the qualifying finals, Shoaib was thrashed by Mohammad Syafiq Kamal of Malaysia 6-11, 6-11, 3-11 and Farhan was smashed by Sandeep Jangra of India 7-11, 5-11, 3-11 in 30 minutes. Now the hope was with the two players who were in the main draw.
In the first round of the main draw on Wednesday, sixth seed Saqib Yousuf beat qualifier Sandeep Jangra of India 11-5, 11-8, 3-11, 11-9 in 34 minutes but Mohammad Asim Khan lost to 3rd seed Addeen Idrakie of Malaysia 12-14, 11-7, 7-11, 11-9.
