CTD arrests Bannu jail runaway

PESHAWAR: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Thursday arrested a convicted terrorist who had escaped in the Bannu jailbreak.
An official of the Counter Terrorism Department said that they had arrested the convicted terrorist Shaukat son of Said Badshah, a resident of Badrashi area in Nowshera district. He said that the court had sentenced him to life imprisonment. The convicted terrorist was shifted to an unknown place for interrogation.
The official said the convicted terrorist had succeeded along with other prisoners in escaping from the Bannu prison. The Bannu Jail break occurred on April 14, 2012 when a group of militants attacked the building and secured by force the release of around 400 prisoners.
