ISLAMABAD: Former interior minister Senator Rehman Malik has clarified that he had not given the security clearance to the BOL Media Group, adding the clearance was given by the interim government.
Malik told media persons on Wednesday that Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had not pointed at him for giving security clearance to the BOL but a minister in the interim set-up. He expressed concern over fake degrees scam involving a local IT company Axact.
He said that the management of the Axact and the BOL must come forward with their version on the issue. Stern action should be taken if charges against Axact are proved, Malik remarked. He said a meeting of the Senate committee would review the probe conducted by the FIA on May 28.
