LAHORE
Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) president Ch Shujaat Hussain met Pir Sahib Pagara Pir Sibghatullah and later along with him called on former president general Pervez Musharraf at his residence in Karachi on Wednesday.
On these occasions, Senator Dilawar Abbas and Sindh PML-Q president Haleem Adil Shaikh were with Ch Shujaat.
Talking to the media, Shujat Hussain said he came to Karachi to convey his condolence and sympathies with Ismailis over Safoora tragedy.
Responding to a question about meetings with former Pervez Musharraf and Pir Sahib Pagara, he said objective behind these meetings was not forming or falling of anyone’s government but to form a national alliance to strengthen the federation, all sorts of lawlessness be ended and Pakistan should become an Islamic welfare state in real meanings.
To a question, he said to impose governor’s rule in Sindh was not his business. Earlier, a large number of PML-Q leaders and workers welcomed Shujaat Hussain and chanted slogans.
Shujaat Hussain called on Ismaili community leader Sultan Allana at his residence. Conveying his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the killing of innocent people, he said: “All our sympathies were with the bereaved families and we share their grief”.
