A young man was gunned down outside his residence in Shah Baig Lane, allegedly by Lyari gangsters on Sunday.
Thirty-four-year-old Mujahid, younger brother of Friends of Lyari International President Habib Jan, was shot at while he was sitting outside his house.
He died on the way to the Civil Hospital.
Child murdered
A child was killed while another was found in an unconscious condition after a rickshaw driver strangulated them and threw their bodies near Orangi Town No 1, situated within the limits of the Mominabad police station.
Eight-year-old Shiraz, son of Raju, died while his relative 14-year-old Abdul Rehman, son of Abad was found in an unconscious condition.
The deceased and the injured were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities and treatment respectively. Police said the driver along with an accomplice, waiting at the rickshaw stop, strangulated the boys while they were on their way back from a madrassa.
Both were residents of the Pirabad area. The police claimed the incident was caused due to personal enmity.

Thirty-year-old Imran, was stabbed to death by his brother, Kamran, inside their residence in Landhi, allegedly over a property dispute. The accused managed to flee following the incident.
