MULTAN: Khanewal police launched a crackdown on militants and suspects in the district and arrested 35 suspects residing at different areas and shifted them to undisclosed locations for interrogation, the police sources disclosed on Saturday.
The police raided different areas including Tariqabad, Mehr Shah, Grain Market and Old Khanewal and arrested the suspects who were living in hotels and guesthouses. The Elite Force, Counterterrorism Department and Special Branch personnel participated in the operation.
3 injured in road accident

NANKANA SAHIB: Three people suffered critical injuries in a road accident near Kotla Kahslon on Saturday. Reportedly, a collision of two motorcycles left Shabbir, Abida Parveen and Shakeel Bibi injured critically.
FAKE CHEQUE: Police booked a man on charges of issuing a fake cheque. Muhammad Hussain gave away Rs 1,100,000 cheque to Muhammad Ramzan, but it bounced. Police have registered a case.
OBITUARY: Chaudhry Sher Mohammad, father of local journalist Chaudhry Shahbaz, passed away of Saturday after a prolonged illness. He was buried at a local graveyard and his Qul would be held here today.
