GUJRANWALA: Additional District and Sessions judge Abdul Qayyum Friday visited the central jail Gujranwala and ordered release of 35 under-trial prisoners.
Magistrate Jameel Bhatti and the Superintendent jail were also with him. The judge examined cases of the prisoners and released them on personal surety bonds.
The prisoners were in the jail for minor offences and want of surety bonds. The judge also inspected the kitchen and the hospital of the jail.
