The brutal attack on the members of the Ismaili community whose leader Sir Aga Khan spearheaded the efforts – both financially and politically – for the creation of Pakistan must not only be condemned and forgotten after announcements of condemnation and passing of resolutions but those responsible should be eliminated, their funding confiscated and their organisational structure destroyed.
We are paying for the sins of a few, who after the Quaid’s death, delayed the process of framing the constitution and instead resorted to exploiting religion. All this was done so that lands and assets acquired from the British Raj could be retained as long as Pakistan remained without a constitution, legally governed by British laws with loyalty to the Queen. In this conspiracy, members of the civilian and uniformed bureaucracy trained by the Raj and others with vested interests were involved.
