KARACHI: Known clerics from all schools of thought have condemned the terrorist attack on a bus of Ismaili community in Karachi, resulting into the death of 45 people.
Wafaqul Madaris leaders Maulana Salimullah Khan, Mufti Rafi Usmani, Maulana Abdur Razaq Iskandar, and Qari Hafiz Jalandhari said it is act of enemies of Pakistan and Islam.Talking to Jang/The News, Jalandhari demanded impartial inquiry into the incident and punishment for the killers.
Prof Mufti Muneebur Rehman, Sahibzada Abdul Mustafa Hazarvi, Ghulam Muhammad Sialvi and Sahibzada Syed Arshad Kazmi issued a joint statement declaring the incident a source of sorrow for all.
They demanded such punishment for the killers that would dread the enemies of Islam and Pakistan. Munibur Rehman said the nation should unite against the terrorists. Dr Kokab Noorani Okarvi said to kill human beings is a grave sin and this tragedy reveals failure and incompetence of the Sindh government. He said Karachi is being targeted deliberately and we are threatened by internal enemy. He said banned outfits are active, and questioned why Karachi operation has been slowed down and what is the reason for looking away from terrorists.

He said people of Karachi in particular and those of the rest of the country in general are living lives of fear. He said as long as banned outfits are active, such incidents will continue to take place.
