KPT handles 151,147 tons

The Karachi Port Trust (KPT) handled a cargo volume of 151,147 tons during the last 24 hours, including 125,129 tons of imports and 26,018 tons of exports, it reported on Tuesday.
The Karachi port handled imports ie containerised cargo (21,513 tons), rock phos (7,422 tons), oil/liquid cargo (96,177 tons) and dry cargo (28,952 tons).
Karachi port handled exports ie containerised cargo (25,362 tons), bulk cargo (656 tons) and dry cargo (26,018 tons).
The Karachi port said there were three ships berthed. However, four ships were berthed at the Karachi sea port in the last 24 hours. The ships loaded and/or offloaded tankers, containers, oil/liquid cargo, dry cargo and bulk cargo.
Another five ships carrying containers, coal, are expected to arrive on the Karachi port in the next 24 hours.
