According to media reports, more than 700 students of the Cadet College Petaro suffered from food poisoning. What is atrocious is how this matter has been hushed up. The media should have paid more attention to this issue because it is not something that can be ignored.
After the death of a girl who had eaten a burger it is important that people realise how important it is to stay away from unhygienic food. The media and the authorities should play their part and expose restaurants and kitchens with unsavoury hygienic conditions. Moreover, the government should impose heavy penalty on those vendors who do not maintain quality standards.

On May 7 a great number of cadets woke up in the morning suffering from nausea and high fever. Although they had a crucial O-Level paper that day, a few were unable to attend it while some struggled through the paper with drips attached to their arms.
Over 500 to 600 cadets were affected and admitted to the ‘sick bay’. As the college does not have the facility to accommodate such a large number of patients a couple of cadets were shifted to CMH Hyderabad. Reportedly, many cadets are still suffering from food poisoning.
