KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party MPAs see a conspiracy behind Zulfiqar Mirza’s ongoing onslaught and believe that certain elements want to damage their party’s standing.“The issue needs no political solution but a medical solution,” they said thus playing down the problem.
Nawab Wassan, Imran Zafar Leghari, Islam Sheikh and Wazir Ali were addressing a press conference at PPP media cell on Sunday. They reiterated PPP had given immense sacrifices for democracy and has taken reconciliation course and will continue the policy.
The PPP members said, “Mirza is out of his mind and his family should admit him to the hospital.” The MPAs stressed that after Shaheed Zulfikar Bhutto and Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, it was only Asif Ali Zardari who had given sacrifices for democracy in the country.
Refuting all the allegations hurled by Mirza, they said they were totally baseless and unfounded, and they asked the defiant PPP leader to end the hypocritical approach and leave the party.
Condemning the allegations made by Mirza against Zardari and Faryal Talpur, the PPP leaders accused that on December 27, 2007 ‘Pakistan Na Khapay’ slogans were raised and Mirza was behind that move. They concluded that Mirza has taken a stance against the party and its leadership for his own vested interests.
