BHAKKAR: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Zaman Wattoo Saturday lauded role of private educational institutions in promoting education in the district.
Addressing a prize distribution ceremony where he was a guest of honour, the DCO said a combined plan was underway to raise educational standards in the district.
EDO (Education) Mian Muhammad Ismail presided over the ceremony. He urged the private institutions to follow guidelines issued by the government of Punjab.
POLICE RECRUITMENT ON MERIT: Regional Police Officer (RPO) Faisalabad Ehsan Tufail Saturday said the recruitment in police would be made on merit.
Addressing a gathering during a swimming test of candidates of police constables, he said nepotism would be shunned in the recruitment process.
The recruited constables would be posted at river bank check posts of Roheela West Bank canal and Bhari Nawab.
