Selective torture

It was because of the presence of the Chinese president a couple of weeks ago that the federal capital had witnessed very rare or no loadshedding for around 36 hours (because as soon as his motorcade left the Zero-Point, loadshedding was back again). It has become a norm that the federal capital experiences reduced hours of loadshedding whenever there is a flurry of activities for the federal government.
The people have already been facing a deplorable situation owing to the metro-bus project which is bound to be inaugurated every other month as claimed by the ministers concerned but to date the actual civil work is nowhere near completion. Traffic jams during morning and evening, coupled with eight hours of loadshedding, add to people’s agony. That was why people might have prayed for the Chinese president to stay in the capital for a little longer. People still remembered the dharnas that also resulted in the same, zero loadshedding during their first 15 days.
