A fire broke out in the basement of Techno City building on II Chundrigar Road on Friday. However, no one was hurt.
According to the central fire station, the fire erupted in electric metres at around 12:45pm and the flames soon engulfed the whole basement of the building, situated within the remit of Mithadar police station. Six fire tenders arrived at the scene and were able to contain it after hectic efforts of four hours. The fire officials cited the cause of the blaze to be a short circuit.
