KARACHI: Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) established a Vietnam Desk in Karachi to increase bilateral trade and coordination among traders, a statement said Thursday.
The focal officers for Vietnam Desk are TDAP Assistant Manager Faisal Rasheed Awan, Head of Vietnam Trade Mission at Karachi Second Secretary Vu Viet Dzung, and Embassy of Pakistan at Vietnam Trade Officer Ms Vu Minh Phuong.
Recently, Vietrade and TDAP signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on cooperation for trade. Both sides agreed to exchange delegations at various levels and participate in trade fairs.
The two trade authorities will establish trade promotion programmes and carry out joint research for identifying potential sectors.
The TDAP will participate in the 10th Vietnam International Exhibition on products, and equipment supplies for medical, pharmaceutical and hospitals in September at Ho Chi Minh City, whereas Vietnam Ministry of Industry and Trade will organise a business delegation to visit Karachi in August, 2015.
