LDA directorate revived

Director General Lahore Development Authority Ahad Khan Cheema revived the Directorate of Land Development-II LDA and ordered the shifting of six-housing schemes, being previously dealt by the Directorate of Land Development-III and Directorate of Land Development IV, to the said directorate.
These schemes included Gulberg Housing Scheme, New Garden Town Housing Scheme, Upper Mall Housing Scheme, New Muslim Town Housing Scheme, Shah Jamal Housing Scheme, and Faisal Town Housing Scheme.
Meanwhile, Additional Director General (Housing) Lahore Development Authority Amara Khan has transferred three officers to the Directorate of Land Development-II. The transferred officers include Deputy Director Mirza Faiz-ur-Rehman and Assistant Director Muhammad Abubakar Abdullah from the Directorate of Land Development-IV and Assistant Director Muhammad Maroof Usman from the Directorate of Land Development-III.

Wattoo asks govt to withdraw agriculture tax
PPP Central Punjab President Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo has asked the government to stop issuing notices to farmers to pay tax against their agricultural produce as they are already facing hardships due to government’s anti-farmer policies.
In a statement issued on Wednesday, he demanded that tax on agriculture produce should be withdrawn immediately otherwise farmers would be compelled to take to the streets.
