Islamabad: The federal government has issued the Nizam-e-Salaat calendar for unified prayer timings in Islamabad on Friday.
Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced Nizam-e-Salaat on Friday accordance to which, all sects including Shia, Hanfi (both Deobandi and Barelvi) and Ahle Hadis will offer prayers at uniform timings.
Imam-e-Kaaba started the implementation while leading the Friday prayer in Faisal Mosque.
The calendar prepared for the Nizam-e-Salaat is divided into two parts for the full year. The first phase will start from April 15 to October 14 according to which:
• Fajr Azan will be called at 4:10a.m. while prayer will be offered throughout the capital at 4:40a.m.
• The Azan time for Zuhar prayer will be 1:15p.m., while the prayer will be offered at 1:30p.m.
• Azan for Asr prayer will be called at 4:49p.m., and prayer will be offered at 4:59p.m.
• Maghrib Azan will be called at 6:45p.m., while prayer will be offered at 6:47p.m.
• Azan for Isha will be called at 8:15p.m. while the prayer will be offered at 8:40p.m. in uniformity in whole Islamabad.
The second phase will start from October 15 to April 14 according to which:
• The Azan time for Fajr prayer will be 4:49a.m., while the prayer will be offered at 5:19a.m.
• Zuhar Azan will be called at 1:00p.m., while prayer will be offered at 1:15p.m.
• Asr Azan will be called at 3:57p.m., while prayer will be offered throughout the capital at 4:07p.m.
• Azan for Maghrib will be called at 5:41p.m., while prayer will be offered at 5:43p.m.
• Azan will be called at 7:21p.m. for Isha and prayer will be offered at 7:36p.m. in uniformity in whole Islamabad.
Whole year, Friday Azan will be called for all sects at 12:45p.m.
Moreover, gradual difference of a minute or two in the prayer timings will take place in view of the changes in weather.
