Punjab Minister for Education, Sports & Youth Affairs Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan has directed examination boards to make education system more transparent and foolproof.
He said arrangements for next intermediate examinations should be more comprehensive and organised in accordance with the approved policy. He issued the direction while presiding over a meeting of the Punjab Board Committee of Chairmen (PBCC) on Saturday.
Secretary Higher Education Department Iram Bukhari, Chairman PBCC Dr Muhammad Nasrullah Malik who is also Chairman of Lahore Board, Chairmen Boards Ghulam Muhammad Jhagar (Faisalabad), Rana Muhammad Masood Akhtar (Bahawalpur), Faiz Ullah Khan Tareen (DG Khan), Riaz Ahmed Hashmi (Multan), Dr. Muhammad Zareef (Rawalpindi), Dr. Anwaar Ahmed (Sahiwal), Prof. Siraj-ul-Haq (Sargodha), Prof. Muhammad Aslam (Gujranwala), Prof. Muhammad Zaheer Chaudhry (Mirpur Azad Kashmir), Secretary PBCC Faqeer Muhammad Kaifi, Secretary Faisalabad Board Malik Zafar Iqbal, Controller PBCC Anwar Farooq, Controller Faisalabad Board Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal Tahir and other officials attended the meeting. The minister said the problems of students approaching educational boards should be resolved on priority and all record be compiled in a transparent manner. He said besides security of examination centres, attendance of vigilant staff should also be ensured. He directed strict security arrangements should be made for supply of answer and question sheets and warned that no negligence would be tolerated in this regard.
