Reformed investment

This refers to the news comment, ‘No reforms, no Chinese investment’ (April 22) by Dr Farrukh Saleem. The article is no doubt right on the mark. As usual the writer has given convincing figures and facts.
The point is: will anyone listen and act accordingly? The answer is ‘no’ because we see no will, no planning and no implementation. Our leadership – both civilian and military – should ponder over the issues raised in the article without wasting time. A small council comprising two members each from the military, bureaucracy, technical experts and administrators with the backing of parliament should be formed and given the task to oversee the work without any delay.
