LAHORE
Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Dr Tahirul Qadri Thursday alleged that rulers had restarted arresting PAT workers under false and fictitious cases.
Addressing the PAT lawyers’ wing via video link from Canada, Qadri said in ruthless crackdown against our workers under the orders of a top provincial office-bearer, household items worth millions of rupees were looted or burnt by raiding officials.
He said our houses are raided and cases are also filed against us. Qadri said the PAT would go to every length in seeking justice for workers who were martyred in the Model Town incident and would not budge an inch from its stance.
He said still free, fair and open investigation is awaited in the Model Town tragedy.
Qadri said courts adjourned the Model Town case for long period of time, but were ready to face false cases filed against PAT workers on daily basis.
