Capital crime

Strict security measures in the federal capital have paid off with a significant fall in crime rate during the last few months. The crime data compiled from September 2014 revealed that the cases of murder, kidnapping, theft, robberies, street crimes, car and motor cycle lifting/snatching have considerably decreased in Islamabad.
Similarly, the recovery rate of illegal weapons, narcotics and stolen goods has increased by 25 percent as a result of an effective crime control mechanism adopted by the Islamabad police. Likewise, murder cases have gone down by around 20 percent, kidnapping for ransom cases (35 percent), robbery (42 percent), theft (48 percent), car lifting (29 percent) etc. Crime data shows that 69 cases of murder, six cases of kidnapping, 385 cases of vehicles lifting and 265 cases of robberies were registered in Islamabad from September 2014 till now. For this the Islamabad Capital Territory police deserve credit.
