RAWALPINDI: The senior leadership of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and members of Sharif family met disqualified former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, his daughter Maryam and son-in-law Capt (R) Safdar in Adiala Jail here on Thursday.
PML-N senior leaders including Khawaja Asif, Tariq Fatemi, Pervaiz Rashid, Daniyal Aziz, Javed Hashmi and Khurram Dastgir met their supreme leader in Adiala Jail. Chaudhry Tanvir, Sardar Naseem and Rana Fazal also met Nawaz.
The Jail authorities had allotted ‘Thursday’ as the day for visitors to meet Nawaz, Maryam and Capt ® Safdar. There were tight security arrangements all around Adiala Road.
Nawaz and Maryam are currently serving their prison terms at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, after the former premier was sentenced to a total of 11 years in prison while his daughter was sentenced to eight years in a corruption reference in July.
