The Sindh IGP Ghulam Haider Jamali on Monday announced a reward worth Rs500,000 and a certificate of appreciation for the police team which had engaged in an armed encounter and busted a gang of robbers within the remit of Sehwan police station.
According the Sindh police spokesman, said notorious dacoit Zahid Panwhar and his accomplice Gul Hasan alias Muhammad Hasan, each with at least 13 cases of heinous crimes lodged against them, had been killed in the encounter besides an official of the Dadu police station.
It was said that the police team during the skirmish also managed to arrest other gang members in injured condition including Khan Muhammad Palari, Ali Nawaz Barjmani, Mujib Abro and Ali Gul.
The police team also recovered three Kalashnikovs, three TT pistols and cash from the possession of the deceased and injured.
