Karachi: The fifth medical services centre of the Liaquat National Hospital (LNH) and Medical College started functioning at the Shah Faisal Colony, located opposite to the Shama Shopping Centre, on Friday after it was inaugurated by LNH Medical Director Dr Salman Faridi.
The new centre will offer consultant clinics, laboratory, pharmacy, physiotherapy, ultrasound, ECG and mammography services.
Addressing the directors of faculties, staff and public, Dr Salman Faridi spoke about the role and efforts of the LNH to facilitate the public for their health needs.
He claimed the LNH was a non-profit hospital and it was the policy of the management and the directors of the hospital to reinvest the money earned from the hospital to enhance its services, bring the latest equipment from abroad and acquire the services of the best medical consultants and doctors.
Faridi announced a discount of 25 percent on all the lab tests and a discount of 10 percent on pharmacy purchases till May 15 at the newly established services centers.
He said the services centre inaugurated in Shah Faisal Colony was the fifth, in addition to the services centres already functioning in North Karachi, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Nazimabad.
