Woman shot dead

CHAKWAL: A mother of three children was shot dead in village Kahoot in the area of Kallar Kahar police station on Thursday.
Nabeela Riaz told police that she and her sister Sabiha Bibi went out of the house, when unidentified assailants opened firing, leaving Sabiha dead on the spot.
The dead body was shifted to DHQ Chakwal.
HELD OVER FAKE CHEQUE:
The City police Chakwal Thursday arrested a man in a fake cheque case.
Akbar Feroz, of village Mohra Qazi told the police that Zafar Baksh, of district Muzaffargarh took a loan of Rs 2.28 million from him and he wrote him a cheque of the amount. The cheque was bounced when it was taken to bank.
Sub Inspector Nazar Hayat registered a case against the accused and arrested him.
Meanwhile, the City police arrested Muzamal Ashiq, of Dhariala Kahoon and recovered a pistol from him. In the second incident Jamal Ghulam Mohammad, of village Maghal was arrested and a pistol was also recovered from him.
