FORMER governor of Punjab and senior member of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Mohammad Sarwar has said that corrupt politicians are constantly plundering the state’s ideology and foundation. Talking to the woman candidates of PTI local government elections, Tanzila Imran, Ghazala Javed, Dr Anisa and various other delegates, he said the government interference in the Cantonment Board elections would not be tolerated and it was against the principles of democracy. Parties whose foundations revolve around illogical and baseless policies are portraying the role of ‘political villains’ in our state where the essence of nationalism and patriotism has been forgotten.
He asserted that PTI would rise above all biases and will soon unveil the tactics being adopted by other political parties to rig the general elections 2013. He also expressed his optimism regarding the municipal elections and said the defeat of the corrupt in Pakistan was evident. He said Pakistan had always been surrounded with the shadow of elite adjustment and plutocracy. Politicians and dictators have supported each other’s stance at the cost of the nation’s integrity. Our motherland has constantly been experimented with several governments of Constitutions all of which have failed to provide an ‘adequate’ and ‘effective’ solution.
