As per a five-year agreement signed with the Sindh government on Monday, Aman Ambulance, one of the Aman Foundation’s several healthcare services, would now serve as the main rescue service provider throughout rural Sindh on Monday.
The MoU was signed between Aman Health Care Services (AHCS) and the Sindh government to expand Aman Ambulance’s award-winning Emergency Medical Services (EMS) across the province. According to the contract, the EMS will initially focus its services in Thatta and Sajawal districts and steadily expand throughout Sindh.
The ceremony was held at Chief Minister House where Dr Saadia Quraishy, CEO Aman Health, signed the agreement along with Sindh’s Special Secretary for Health Dr Khalid Shaikh.
Aman Ambulance’s Head of EMS, Athar Jamal and the Senior Manager EMS Abid Naveed acted as witnesses.
Aman Ambulance has made over 600,000 life-saving interventions since its inception, currently the AHCS is responding to an average of 300 calls a day. Aman Ambulance meets one third of the Karachi’s requests for ambulance services.
