Musharraf fails to appear before NAB
ISLAMABAD: Following the failure of ex-President General (R) Pervez Musharraf in appearing before the National Accountability Bureau Rawalpindi, the NAB has decided to send another notice to him to appear to record the statement in a complaint verification of assets beyond known source of income.
According to sources, the NAB is investigating General (R) Pervez Musharraf, who is not in the country and even no one on his behalf appeared before the investigation team led by Malik Zubair of NAB and now it was decided to send another notice to him for appearing before the Bureau.
Sources said that the decision to send another notice to Musharraf will be taken within next few days. It is to be mentioned here that NAB had already summoned the family of Pervez Musharraf—his son Bilal Musharraf, daughter and son-in-law on July 11 in a case of asset beyond known source of income.
NAB has opened the complaint verification against Pervez Musharraf after the Islamabad High Court verdict through which it asked that the Bureau could initiate the inquiry against General (R) Pervez Musharraf on the plea of Col (R) Inam Rahim, who also lodged a complaint against him for accumulating the sources beyond known source of income.
Col (R) Inam Rahim had also provided various documents to NAB.
