Prisoner swap

The much awaited visit of the Chinese president is expected soon during which various bilateral agreements will be signed. One of the bilateral agreements between Pakistan and China will be the prisoner’s treaty, which will make the exchange of convicted prisoners possible between the two countries.
At present almost 500 Pakistani prisoners are languishing in Chinese jails over crimes like drug trafficking, human smuggling etc. A proper punishment system augurs well not only for law and order but also guarantees human rights while executing justice. It is hoped the government will keep working sincerely to ensure human rights are upheld.
