CHARSADDA: Differences have emerged between the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Charsadda chapter and elected representatives of the party over forming a committee of the tripartite alliance for local government elections.
JUI-F Member National Assembly (MNA) Maulana Muhammad Gohar Shah and Member Provincial Assembly (MPA) Fazal Shakoor Khan alleged that the district organisation of the party was defying the directives of the provincial organisation.
Expressing concern over the JUI-F committee formed for the talks, they alleged that the district organisation was backtracking on the decisions of the provincial organisation of the party.
They said that the JUI-F committee formed by the district organisation for holding talks with the Awami National Party (ANP) and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) was self-proclaimed and had no authority to hold negotiations.
They said that a committee comprising MPA Fazal Shakoor, Haji Danishmand, Hanifullah, Dr Illahi Jan and Fakhr-e-Alam had already been formed for the purpose. They urged the ANP and PPP to hold talks for alliance with the committee formed by the provincial organisation and not the one constituted by the local organisation.
