LAHORE: Former president of Supreme Court Bar Association Asma Jahangir has said the Pakistan army should not join the Saudi warfare in Yemen. However, she says the parliament has the mandate to decide whether to send army to other countries.
Talking to media persons at the Lahore High Court on Monday, she said the political leaders of Pakistan used to get shelter in Saudi Arabia and UAE whenever they were ousted. About formation of Judicial Commission for election rigging probe, Ms Jahangir said
the formation of the commission established that one party direly needed its face-saving and the other wanted to be rid of the annoying situation. She was of the view that the PTI should have raised demands for electoral reforms instead of staging dharnas and dramas.
